Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about joining our community, meetings, and programs.
Who can become a member of CCMT?
Membership is open to all descendants and friends of Cameroon residing in Middle Tennessee. We welcome Cameroonians, their families, and anyone interested in actively supporting our cultural preservation and community outreach initiatives.
How often are community meetings held?
CCMT holds monthly community meetings, typically on the second Sunday of every month at 4:00 PM. These meetings serve as a gathering space to discuss community developments, plan activities, and socialize. Details are sent out to members via email and our social channels.
How does CCMT support families during major life milestones?
One of the primary pillars of CCMT is mutual support. We provide a supportive network for our members during major life events, such as births, marriages, and difficult times of bereavement, offering community presence, support, and collective assistance.
Are there youth programs for children?
Yes! We run youth-focused cultural education workshops, drumming lessons, and educational tutoring to help children of Cameroonian descent stay connected to their roots and thrive in school.
How can I volunteer or contribute to CCMT charity drives?
We organize regular volunteer days at local Middle Tennessee food banks and collect donations for charitable projects both locally and in Cameroon. You can reach out through our contact form or attend a monthly meeting to find out about current volunteer opportunities.
